Between May and September, while the south coast is in monsoon, Sri Lanka's east comes into its perfect dry season. The bays are glassy, the snorkelling at Pigeon Island is among Asia's best, and the surf at Arugam Bay is at its world-class peak. This journey moves along the entire coast.
You stay at the quiet ends of three different beach towns, snorkel and dive Pigeon Island, kayak the lagoons of Batticaloa, and end with five days of surf coaching at one of Asia's most legendary right-hand point breaks.
